VOTE on 11/07/06!
First, I urge you to make certain that you and all eligible members of your family to VOTE.

Take the time to learn and understand what a candidate stands for, what his or her background is, and what their past record is. Do not be led by glitzy advertisements or slick messages pounded at you through the media. Use common sense and vote intelligently. VOTING is one of the most important things you can do. Remember every vote does count.

Some Interesting Quotes and Notes:

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) recently said, “The current Congress is the biggest do-nothing Congress in history.”

What’s this? Is he not a member of the current Congress???

Sen. Jim Talent (R-MO) said recently in support of his belief that wire-tapping is necessary for the security of our Country: “If there’s an international call and Al-Qaeda is on the line, we ought to find out what they are talking about.” Talent, a candidate who is in complete support of a national security agenda, is in a very close race with Democrat Claire McCaskill for the Senate seat in Missouri. This race is one that has been pegged by Democrats as a “must win” in order to take control of the Senate.

Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) who is considered the front-runner of the Democratic hopefuls for the 2008 Presidential nomination was quoted as saying “Great” that Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) announced a week ago that he is “thinking” about running for President. Me thinks that is strange except … maybe it’s not so strange… Hillary has a plan; you can count on it!

I was dared by someone close to me to put the following in my article:
Happy Birthday wishes go out to Hillary Clinton. She was 59 years old on 10/26/06!

Michael J. Fox, the beloved television/movie actor has actively campaigned for a number of Democrats on the issue of stem cell research. Fox is a victim of Parkinson’s disease. He has drawn some disapproval of his position from conservatives who oppose the issue. It remains to be seen if the issue will draw more Democratic votes, or the opposite of its intent more conservative Republican votes. The ad and the issue have certainly drawn its share of controversy in this campaign!

The situation with Mark Foley (R-FL) accused of improper conduct with House pages appears to be overshadowed to a great extent by the Barack Obama for President theme in vogue now. The will he or won’t he discussions. I imagine that is welcomed by the Republicans and questioned by some Democrats. The loudest voice in the “get Foley and his protectors” (read House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL) is none other than Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) who has her sites set on Hastert’s job as Speaker.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) had the quote of the week last week according to Human Events magazine. He said, “Listening to some Democrats, you’d think the enemy was George Bush, not Kim Jong IL.”
That sounds about right on point to me.

Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) was caught again. Actually in the past 30 days he has been caught twice. First, it was his $700,000.00 profit from a land sale that he conveniently forgot to list on his public disclosure forms. Second, it was his use of campaign funds to pay Christmas bonus money to his staff (not once, not twice but in each of the last three consecutive years) totaling $3300.00. Does anyone see a pattern here??

If Reid was a Conservative Republican, Dick Durbin, Ted Kennedy, Charlie Schumer, John Murtha and Nancy Pelosi would be doing a war dance, jumping up and down, screaming for him to resign. Harry himself would be yelling “RESIGN YOU THIEF!” What have they said about Reid’s inappropriate and apparently illegal ethics violations - - NOTHING! It is as if it didn’t happen. The MSM has said almost the same thing – NOTHING as if it was a non-issue! Dingy Harry as Rush calls him should be “Dirty Harry;” my apologies to the mythological Inspector Harry Callahan from the Dirty Harry series.

This “tax and spend” Democrat will not acknowledge his wrongdoing except to say “it was a clerical error” and HE wants to be the majority Leader of the Senate? Go Figure!!
It’s too bad that Senator Reid is not up for re-election or steps could be taken to vote him out of office. However, the public could NOW raise their collective voice and request his forced resignation or at the least censure.

I discovered an interesting, informative educational website having to do with the upcoming elections across the entire country. It came up on October 20, 2006 and can be found at: http://predict06.com take a look and offer your predictions. If this is done correctly it will be interesting as to how close the predictions are. I hope they follow through for the 2008 Presidential plus elections as well.

If you are interested in a beautiful and patriotic Internet movie that will make you really think about this great country. Go to http://usawakeup.org and watch/listen to the entire movie. Then go to the parent site http://objflicks.com and check out the other online movies they have available. I was so impressed that I even ordered the CD-ROM of all of them. Just a note, these sites operate with limited bandwidth and if you can’t get in, try again later the next day. Believe me it is worth it!

In closing, I again remind you to VOTE, and in my next article I will talk about the winners of some of the races and how my predictions came out.
