FSM is reminded why so many people have contempt for Senator John Kerry. With what began as his despicable accusations against Vietnam veterans, he continues by disparaging our brave troops today - troops who have so much more bravery, and smarts, than Kerry ever could imagine having. Perhaps that is why he loathes them so.

A couple of days ago, when Senator John F. Kerry (D-MA) was speaking at a college in California to a group of students he shot off his mouth (something he is famous for) and by doing so shot himself in the foot. During the speech he told the assembly that they should study hard, do their homework and be smart and – they wouldn’t end up in Iraq!
His comments have certainly caused an outbreak of criticism from The President on down to military personnel. His comments were taken as a direct and utter insult to our fighting forces and those who support them. He has caused a call for an apology from Senator John McCain (R-AZ), a war hero and former prisoner of war as well as being the current National Commander of the American Legion. I am sure that The Veterans of Foreign Wars and other military organization will also be heard from on the matter in which he again underscores his obvious disdain for the American Military and what they stand for. Then to make it even more contentious, he has refused to apologize saying “I apologize to no one” and that it is the Whitehouse’s fault as they misconstrued his comment. The poor misunderstood man!
You will recall that in during the time of the Viet Nam War, John Kerry testified before Congress and called our soldiers in Viet Nam “murders and Rapists”. Does anyone besides me see a pattern here?
The following is a quote from NewsMax.com:
“Kerry on Tuesday tried to deflect the criticism by issuing a statement accusing Tony Snow and "assorted right-wing nut-jobs” of distorting the remarks "to divert attention from their disastrous record.”
“He added, in a seeming non sequitur: "I’m sick and tired of these despicable Republican attacks that always seem to come from those who never can be found to serve in war, but love to attack those who did.”
“Critics like Vietnam veteran John McCain, Mister Senator?’
Who is despicable Senator, those who support the armed forces or those such as yourself who take every opportunity to degrade, debase and insult them?
You will recall that in during the time of the Viet Nam War, John Kerry testified before Congress and called our soldiers in Viet Nam “murders and Rapists”.
It appears that the feeling about our armed forces by other well-known Democrats is similar to John Kerry’s. His associate, Senator Richard Durbin (D-IL) has termed the American Military in Iraq similar to the Nazi’s under Hitler in the recent past. Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) has stated that Marines had committed murder and killed innocent women and children which were later proven untrue but I find no apology from him for his destructive commentary. He is one of the architects of “the cut and run” philosophy and stated on Meet the Press last June that ''We can go to Okinawa. . . . We can redeploy there almost instantly.''If that is not a ridiculous comment coming from a person who should know better, I don’t know what is.
What the Left does not seem to realize is that they are feeding the enemy propaganda tools with every negative comment they make and at the same time demoralize our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere. They make “Tokyo Rose” look like a Sunday school teacher!
